THIS PROGRAM CAME FROM
MAKING EVERY WRONG MOVE

After 16 years in the Army — 12 as a Sniper, finishing as acting Operations Sergeant Major — I got out and kept doing the only thing I knew: training. Hard. Every day. Too much, too often, with no accounting for what the previous 16 years had done.

I got into powerlifting. Then I started BJJ and just stacked it on top. At my worst I was doing four sessions a day, five days a week. Morning lift, morning BJJ, afternoon BJJ, evening BJJ. Two open mats Saturday. One Sunday.

I hit 285 pounds at nearly 30% body fat. I had been decorated. I had led men in combat. I had competed at the national level in Muay Thai. And I was standing in a bathroom mirror not recognizing the person looking back at me.

The problem wasn't effort. It was never effort. The problem was I had been running a physiological debt for over a decade and I kept drawing it down instead of paying it back. The Reconstruction Foundation is the system I wish I had at the start of that process.

The debt before rebuild 285 lbs

Post-service. High output. No recovery accounting. 30% body fat despite training constantly. The accumulation had been compounding for years.

Eight weeks later 250 lbs

35 pounds. 12% body fat. Same person. Different framework. The training didn't change dramatically. The accounting did.

The actual problem 16 yrs

Sixteen years of accumulated load. Deployments, surgeries, combat sports injuries, sustained high output. The body keeps score. You need a system that accounts for it.

What this system produces Day 56

By Day 56 you have a documented OCA delta — measurable evidence of what the 8 weeks produced. Not a feeling. A number.

Before — 285 lbs, 30% body fat
Before — The Debt
285 lbs · 30% BF

Post-service. High output. No recovery accounting.

After — 250 lbs, 12% body fat
After — 8 Weeks
250 lbs · 12% BF

35 lbs. Same person. Different framework.

RCTA Muay Thai class in session — the training environment this program is built for
01
Reconstruction Foundation Field Manual

The full operating document for all 8 weeks. Program structure, progression logic, session formats, Track A/B/C protocols, RPE guidelines, and the complete completion standards. Read this before Week 1. Every training decision for the next 8 weeks lives here.

02
Operational Capacity Audit (OCA)

The full assessment — Deployment Age Calculator, Recovery Debt Score, Track Placement (A, B, or C), and interpretation across 10 capacity categories. This is where you start. It tells you which track you're on and what your system can actually absorb before you put load on it.

03
Daily Readiness Scorecard

The decision framework you run every morning before any training session. Green, Yellow, or Red determines what happens that day. This is the system that replaces guesswork and overriding. The scorecard doesn't negotiate — and that's the point.

04
Gut Reset Protocol (Weeks 1–3)

The dietary intervention that runs concurrent with the Restore phase. Elimination framework, compliance standards, reintroduction protocol. GI function is a primary driver of energy, inflammation, and recovery capacity. This addresses it directly.

05
8-Week Training Program

Three phases: Restore (Weeks 1–3), Rebuild (Weeks 4–6), Reload (Weeks 7–8). Full periodization, progressive loading, RPE ceilings, mat work scaling for BJJ/Muay Thai athletes, and session formats for each training day. Track-specific variations for A, B, and C.

06
Weekly Check-In System

Eight Sunday check-ins. Data collection tools that drive programming decisions for the following week. These are not accountability theater — they're the mechanism that allows the program to self-correct in real time based on how your system responds.

07
Week 6 Retest + Final OCA

The Week 6 retest calibrates Weeks 7–8. The Day 56 OCA gives you the delta — the measurable change from where you started to where the program took you. This is the documentation that proves the foundation is built.

THREE PHASES.
ONE OBJECTIVE.

The objective is singular: rebuild the foundation so what you build on top of it actually holds. The three phases address that in sequence. You cannot skip Restore to get to Reload. The constraint is the mechanism.

Phase 01 Restore — Debt Repayment Weeks 1–3

Low RPE ceiling. Structural movement patterns. Gut Reset Protocol running concurrently. Sleep prioritized above all training variables. This phase will feel too easy. That is not an error — it is the program working. Athletes who push above the ceiling during Restore typically plateau at Week 5 when accumulated load catches up. Trust the score your OCA gave you.

Phase 02 Rebuild — Progressive Loading Weeks 4–6

Intensity increases. Mat work scales to full volume for BJJ/Muay Thai athletes. Conditioning re-enters. Weekly check-ins driving programming adjustments. Week 6 retest confirms the foundation is holding and calibrates the final two weeks. This is where you start to feel the compound effect of what the first three weeks built.

Phase 03 Reload — Full Capacity Weeks 7–8

Full competition-intensity training for combat athletes. Max-effort loading for strength athletes. Performance outputs measured against baseline. Day 56 OCA documents the delta. You leave with a complete training record and a 12-month programming roadmap built on data, not guesswork.

WHO THIS
IS FOR

This is built for you if
  • Years of military service, combat sports, or both have put real physiological wear on your system
  • You train consistently but recovery keeps breaking down in ways you can't explain
  • You feel like you're running at 70% of what you used to be capable of
  • You've been overriding fatigue signals so long they just feel normal
  • You want a program built around what your system can actually absorb — not what you think you can handle
  • You're a BJJ or Muay Thai athlete who has hit a wall that has nothing to do with technique
  • You've tried harder and harder approaches and the gap between output and capacity keeps widening
This is not for you if
  • You're looking for a standard push-harder fitness program
  • You want someone to validate overtraining as discipline
  • You're not willing to run the OCA honestly and accept what the score says
  • You've never seriously trained under sustained high load
  • You expect transformation without addressing the debt that caused the breakdown
  • You're looking for an easy answer or a supplement protocol

WHAT PEOPLE
ASK FIRST

I'm already training hard. Why would I slow down?

That's exactly the pattern this program was built around. High output without recovery accounting is what created the debt in the first place. The program doesn't ask you to stop training. It asks you to account for what your system can actually absorb before you add more load. The athletes who resist the Restore phase are usually the ones who need it most.

I don't have time for an 8-week program right now.

The program requires 4–5 training sessions per week, most of which you're already doing in some form. The add is structure and the daily readiness check — about 5 minutes each morning. If you don't have 8 weeks now, you'll spend the next 8 months making the same mistakes. The debt doesn't pause while you wait for a good time.

I've done plenty of programs. What makes this different?

Most programs assume you're starting at zero. This one starts by measuring the actual condition of your system and building around what's there. The OCA scores 10 capacity categories before a single training session begins. Your track, your RPE ceiling, your mat work volume — all of it comes from that score, not from what you assume you can handle. That's the difference.

Is $97 worth it for a PDF?

It's not a PDF. It's a complete operating system: the OCA audit, the Field Manual, the Gut Reset Protocol, the Daily Readiness Scorecard, the 8-week program, the weekly check-in system, and the final retest protocol. The total time investment to build this from scratch would be significant. This is the shortcut. If you use it, $97 is irrelevant compared to the cost of spending another year training hard with nothing to show for it.

What if I'm not military or a combat athlete?

The tactical identity of RCTA comes from military and combat sports. But the load patterns that create the debt this program addresses aren't exclusive to those environments. A nurse running back-to-back 12-hour shifts, a professional carrying years of accumulated stress, a parent running on fumes — they accumulate the same kind of physiological debt. If your recovery keeps breaking down under sustained load, the program applies.

THE
FOUNDER

Jacques Cooper — RCTA Founder, fight walkout
16 Yrs Army Infantry 12 Yrs Sniper Muay Thai National BJJ Athlete
Jacques Cooper
Founder — Rak Chazak Training Academy

Most of his adult life has been spent operating under some version of the load this program was built around. 16 years as an Army Infantryman. 12 of those as a Sniper. Deployed. Led men in combat. Competed at the national level in Muay Thai. Ran BJJ alongside all of it.

When the service ended, he kept going the only way he knew — high output, no accounting for what 16 years had already cost. The result was 285 pounds at 30% body fat, a body that was running on debt he hadn't measured, and a gap between who he had been and who was looking back from the mirror.

The rebuild didn't come from a better training program or a harder block. It came from finally understanding the actual problem. The Reconstruction Foundation is the system that came from that process — built to give you in 8 weeks what took him years to figure out.

He is still building. Still competing. Still paying down debt he ran up before he understood what he was doing. This program is what he uses to do it.
